Overview
Youth Excel & Thrive is a comprehensive, youth-centered initiative aimed at equipping young people in Ibadan, Oyo State, with essential skills for leadership, civic engagement, and economic empowerment. With support from Lead Africa and the Ford Foundation, the program strategically integrates leadership development, digital literacy, civic participation, and vocational training to prepare participants for active roles in both society and the workforce.
The initiative engaged a diverse cohort of youth through interactive workshops, mentorship opportunities, and practical skill-building sessions. The approach focused on nurturing informed, skilled, and socially responsible youth leaders capable of driving positive change within their communities.
By aligning civic education with employability and entrepreneurship pathways, Youth Excel & Thrive fosters youth agency, inclusion, and sustainable impact—empowering participants to not only excel personally, but also contribute meaningfully to national development.
