The Happy Project(HIV/AIDS) Prevention Projects for Youth in Oyo State supported by DFID 2007

In 2007, YcDEI formerly called Youth Care 2000 & Beyond in collaboration with Save Our Future Foundation (SOFF), organized the HIV & AIDS Prevention Program for Youth (HAPPY) in 6 secondary schools in Oyo State, which was supported by Department for International Development (DFID).

The project promoted the prevention of HIV/AIDS through abstinence and protected sex. Interactive sessions, trainings, clubs and collaborations with teachers and parents were used to create awareness, and encouraged counselling and testing.

The project also featured segments on skill acquisition, goal setting, drug abuse, self-esteem and other essential topics for young people.
