We had the presence of the Vice Chairman of the Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN), Oyo State, Ven. Dr. S.A. Aiyegbusi, at the Gender-Based Violence Capacity Building Training for Female Religious Leaders in Ibadan. He commended the work of YcDEI at the training and reaffirmed the CCN’s openness to collaboration.

He stated, “CCN is open to collaboration, and programs will continue to address issues of GBV.”

He further encouraged the champions to consistently speak on GBV at least once a month within their churches and communities, emphasizing the role of women in promoting peaceful coexistence and not harm.

This endorsement reinforces the critical role of faith leaders in driving sustainable change and creating safer, more inclusive spaces for all, and we are highly appreciative of the support of CCN throughout the training.
