At the Gender-Based Violence Capacity Building Training for Female Religious Leaders, the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Oyo State, Rev. E.O. Ogundiya, expressed strong support for the initiative.

In his remarks, he affirmed that CAN Oyo State is ready to collaborate with YcDEI, reinforcing the importance of faith-based leadership in driving sustainable change. He admonished the participants that they should use their knowledge from the training to impact their churches and communities.
This commitment highlights the growing recognition that religious institutions play a pivotal role in prevention, advocacy, and the creation of safe spaces within communities.
As we continue this work, collaboration across stakeholders will remain key to addressing GBV effectively. We are immensely grateful to CAN Oyo State, for their innumerable efforts and presence at the training.
