In commemoration of the International Day of The Girl Child celebrated globally every year on the 11^th of October, Youthcare Development and Empowerment Initiative organized a digital technology awareness program statutory of the United Nations’ 2021 “Digital Generation. My Generation” theme for the girl child day. The program which hosted 26 girls and 3 boys from the community featured a talk from a female technologically inclined entrepreneur, peer group discussions, question and answer sessions, inspiring videos as well as an online discussion where the youths present were opportune to speak to and learn from Shreyaa and Esha Venkat of Nest 4US. The program was focused on celebrating the beauty and strength of Girl Child while building the girls of today into the women needed for tomorrow.
