Youthcare Development and Empowerment Initiative joined in celebrating the international day of the girl child organized by Child Protection Network (CPN). Following the United Nations’ 2021 “Digital Generation. My Generation” theme for the girl child day, the activity-packed digital awareness program for secondary school students was held in Apata community. Several digitally inclined individuals were invited to speak on various aspects of digitalization. Some of the speakers include representatives of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (RAIN) who spoke on artificial intelligence, programming, social media, and robotics, Ms. Olawole Funmilola– speaking on information technology. The program featured invited schools and guest presentations including a drama presentation, musical performances, and a short exhortation on the merits and disadvantages of digitalization.
