Youthcare Development and Empowerment Initiative (YcDEI), together with Shunamite Foundation, visited Peoples Girl’s Grammar School (P.G.G.S), Molete, Ibadan to sensitized and educate the students about Human Trafficking and Countering Trafficking In Persons (CTIP), which is characterized by the extreme economic exploitation of mostly women and children (about 80% female and 50% children) through sexual, physical, and other forms of abuse, is becoming a highly prevalent transnational crime posing as a social threat to the survival of humanity.

YcDEI staff and volunteers in partnership with Shunamite Foundation enlightened students at P.G.G.S. about the types, causes and effects of human trafficking as well as how to spot the red flags and avoid being victims themselves. About 800 students and 15 teachers were reached out to during the visit.
